SKIN
SKIN is a multimedia project that reminds us that we can step outside our own skin and enter places where nothing familiar awaits us.
More precisely, we move in and out of our skin in search of the unexpected — that moment of excitement that reminds us that it is often only when confronted with “danger” that we become fully aware of our own existence and can say: I am.
SKIN is partly inspired by 3D visualizations that skilfully create skins and shells for characters, weapons, and cinematic worlds — constructing spaces in which the still unexplored corners of the mind remain inaccessible. They can only be experienced when we begin to create our own realities, visualized and manifested through the material world.
And what are we, if not “skins” with a soul, waiting to be discovered? Waiting to be permeated through our pores, to breathe, to give oxygen to our cells.
SKIN introduces us to a world where there is, in fact, no skin — only our idea of it, and that intimate sensation that guides us through highs and lows, follows us, stalks us, and prepares us for another sip of sensation.
SKIN reminds us that we are 100% IN. And even when we search for escape routes, we inevitably encounter what we have long dreamed of.
Dreams can be contradictory.
They can be dangerous.
They can be unpredictable.
Just like the processes unfolding within our bodies.
