All the Words I Didn’t Send
All the words I didn’t send,
and the overwhelming urge to press Enter/Send.
The need, above all, for these words to finally reach their recipient.
The installation All the Words I Didn’t Send explores our contemporary reality, in which a large part of our communication takes place online, within a constant and uninterrupted flow of messages.
Complicated relationships, unread letters, words delivered coldly, and the absence of emotion.
And even as I make this critique, here I am, sitting behind a keyboard, typing out my thoughts and still failing to communicate what matters most — precisely that which can only truly be understood face to face. This, in turn, opens up yet another question: what are we afraid of?
All the Words I Didn’t Send is one large blank page, filled with an unrelenting emotional charge — with desire, anger, a plea, love, someone’s truth, disappointment, surprise, beautiful words, farewell, offense, welcome, and so much more.
The installation consists of dozens of used keyboards, generously provided by Ecologica.
